Nature-based Approaches for a Resilient Future: Bridging the Gaps.
Are you looking for a beautiful, unique location for your small group activity or to inspire your creativity and for your group to tread with a light footprint?* Are you nature lovers looking for a private marriage location?
A simple escape to solitude, the sanctuary of the studio provides a beautiful view and retreat for those wanting privacy and to unplug and reconnect with nature and themselves. It is immersed in a precious environment which we take great care of; particularly the protection of the native birds. The studio is set on a steep hillside setting that make the views worth the climb. Ideal for deepening connection with nature, friends, family and romantic partners.
This space with private entrance and deck, en suite bathroom and cold food kitchenette is ideal for exclusive-use, small group (2-4 guests), day events (we recommended you bring a picnic). Situated in the spectacular Endeavour Inlet of New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds, 12 kms from the start of the Queen Charlotte Track, this is a beautiful refuge to relax and rejuvenate in nature. The off-grid, solar powered space is attached to our Fraemohs house which are known for their healthy and responsibly designed homes. Carefully taking into account the surrounding environment, contours and natural light, the studio is surrounded by thick native bush a few minutes from the beach.
Are you arriving in your own boat and just want to hang out for the day? We have one mooring for guests to use when arriving with their own boat. The only way to get to our brilliant eco-retreat is by kayak, water taxi, by foot, or helicopter. Being boat access only the trip out is as much a part of your Marlborough Sounds experience as the view from the studio. Find out more information and a map for the Queen Charlotte Track.

Contact me to rent the studio for a day or alternatively book a forest adventure. If enjoying a summer's day in the Sounds, consider meeting the mailboat and sending some mail. Other activities include: guided yoga, meditation and healing arts, independent swimming, bush-walking, running, reading, bird watching, as well as learning how we live off-grid, or just relaxing on the deck, savoring the natural beauty that surrounds you.
We are committed to the principles of kaitiakitanga; guardianship and protection of our natural world.
