Nature-based Approaches for a Resilient Future: Bridging the Gaps.
Are you wanting to make changes in your organisational structure or to take a more sustainable and regenerative approach, but don't know how to?
I was grappling with some of these challenges, making mindful changes to what I bought and consumed and how I was living (currently solar-powered, car-less and intentionally connecting with community). I was trying to deepen my connection with the natural world and I still didn't feel I was making a difference to the challenges of our times. After delving into the research, engaging in lots of unlearning, walks, reflection and conversations with diverse people (some who I had previously avoided), I pinpointed one of the unexpected keystone aspects:
Action starts with Awareness.
I have designed a toolkit, a world first, which integrates what I have learnt and draws upon research to provide a framework to support a hopeful, caring culture, wellbeing design and adaptation during times of change.
You can learn more about it, and my story, in the adjacent video and also below.

The foundation of action is awareness. This unique, trailblazing tool-kit, the only one of its kind in the world, draws together cutting-edge multidisciplinary research, personal story telling, reflective writing and creative activities. Elements have been successfully piloted internationally, across disciplines, and the program refined. You won't want to miss it!
Learn what others are saying.
Benefits of self-awareness include:
-managing thoughts, behaviours and emotions (self management)
-improved decision making
-setting goals and knowing strengths and weaknesses
-improved relationships due to better understanding of others
-improved social awareness
Awareness is a way of being, but is different to mindfulness. Mindfulness focuses on the present moment and is inward-focused, but not self-absorption. Awareness focuses on the environment and is outward focused. Awareness and mindfulness are complementary and can deepen nature connection. This can be potent when blended with experiential learning, which is a process, rather an outcome and is learning by doing.
